This is one of my ‘other’ hobbies, one that I do not speak much of but recently I picked up a Tre Kronor from Heinnie Haynes. The Tre Kronor, or Three Crowns, is a national emblem of Sweden, present in the Coat of Arms of the Realm of Sweden.

This symbol is present on all Fällkniven creations and they have even named an entire line ‘Tre Kronor’. I was obviously in for a surprise. The weight is fantastic, and the most striking thing about it is the amount of detail and level of finishing. The craftsmanship is definitely top notch and it has an amazingly fine edge. I also noticed something else, once the blade is open it has practically zero play even at 35, 45, 90+ angles, and opens and closes extremely smoothly with a defining click.

The lock is extremely sturdy and one wouldn’t feel too worried if they must put their weight on the handle. A very practical size, and as you have probably guessed I am rather impressed by this particular Fällkniven.

As for the trinkets I was referring to, they are pictured above as well. A while back I got myself two Platinum rings and one WG ring with a .07 diamond from De Beers. Their service is exceptional and I am having another 4mm Platinum band set with a .10 brilliant - should be picking up this beauty in a couple weeks I imagine.

On the WIS front, I have put my rather new Rapport winder up for sale and took delivery of an Orbita Sienna. It is completely in teakwood, with the new finishing (darker staining of teak). Its performance so far has been outstanding.
