E6600 @ 3.42GHz!
I just got my conroe E6600 today along with the other bits. It’s on the stock cooler atm, but I’m thinking of getting the Scythe Infinity.
Superpi 1M is done in 14.953 seconds, with dual 32M passing. Prime95 works but causes the temps to sore above 60, hitting 70+ which is well high, so I won’t be testing ‘em until I get the replacement HSF. Atm the only use for this machine will be compiling code and I’ll be keeping a close eye on the temps until the cooler arrives. That said, @ 9*390 on prime bench is does a hard reset, which I believe is due to my ram being rated @ 667Mhz, and is now being pushed to 780MHz…it seems comfortable @ 760Mhz…
Pretty exciting stuff
