Rolex Goodies…

All the items are mint, including the leather case which can hold many keys. I will keep the case as is with my growing collection of trinkets.

The two golf balls are from the NXT-Tour range from Titleist.

In LVoe with Louis Vuitton…

Ha!

Over the weekend, I found myself liking a couple LV designs more and more whilst browsing at Harrods…and got myself a couple goodies.

On Monday, after a mini-GTG with Charles and Will (members of the TimeZone Rolex Forum) I decided to visit the LV store on New Bond Street, located just past Asprey and Patek Philippe.

I found a lovely gift in Silk for my Mom…a scarf…

…and returned the red iPhone case in epi leather as I just found out that new iPhones will be released on the 12th of July with 3G and GPS. This also means new iPhone cases by LV and I really hope they bring back the monogram cases…currently out of stock worldwide, for the current version of the iPhone.

I also found another leather case in the monogram style that is ideal for me as well as a pen case…and got my Mom one more gift.

All of this is currently sitting at the store waiting to be hot stamped with our initials - a free personalisation service by all LV stores, worldwide!

What’s the big deal with all this so called ‘designer’ stuff? Well, I’m no fashion ‘buff’ but I do find that LV make some nice bags, purses, wallets etc. and I do really enjoy fine leather goods.

…although, I still cannot figure out what makes people go ‘ga ga’ when they see anyone toting a LV bag…any one have any ideas?

De Beers Special Order

Whilst on our way from LV today, I finally got “the call” from my contact at De Beers, stating that my ’special order’ was ready for collection.

After a spot of lunch near Burlington Arcade/Bond Street, we made our way back to Knightsbridge and I was able to feast my eyes on this.

On top is the main special order item that took De Beers over a month to produce. It’s a Platinum band 4.2mm wide, with a 64mm diameter and a 10pt diamond set in.

I previously had a White Gold ring from them with a .07pt diamond and the increase in size has clearly made quite a difference. There are a lot more facets and the engineering gone into setting the 10pt diamond into the platinum is simply a work of art.

The ring below it is a replacement for my 4mm wide, 60mm diameter band as I was finding that a little tight. 64mm is what I find ideal really.

The customer service at De Beers is outstanding, and they will definitely be seeing more of me :p
