BASEL 2008: Rolex DeepSea *SNEAK PREVIEW*
For well over a couple weeks it has been the prediction of fellow forum members @ TZRF that Rolex would release a ‘new’ Sea-Dweller (SD for short) to commemorate their 100th year anniversary.
However, today Rolex decided to put up an interesting flash ‘easter egg’ type notice on their main site,

Unfortunately, the collective mass of WIS ‘nerds’ together were able to decompile the SWF file to reveal this monstrosity lurking below,

A keen eye will notice a lume dot at 12 o’clock and a faint shadow of what appears to be a cyclops as well.
This was also uncovered by a fellow forum member:

Forum member ‘bond0007′ reports,
On a vintage Forum I frequent, a guy named Steve posted this up :“I went into Rolex Bexley about 2 hours ago to get my 1665 waterproof tested, the guy on the quick-service desk told me that a new watch called a Deep-Sea was being launched with a deeper depth rating than the current sea-dweller.”
This is all starting to add up. It’s highly likely that this will be rated to 8,000 or 10,000 feet from the thickness of the case/crystal and size of the crown - possibly a ‘quadlock’ LOL!
Time will tell but this is proving to be rather exciting and we will soon know the fate of the venerable Sea-Dweller.
It should be noted that this is a purely speculative post, based on the general census of discussions at TZRF and should be taken extremely lightly, in fact - fat free mayo is recommended
